Sadie played on Alexander's tricycle at the Farmers Market on Saturday. She loved riding around and seeing all the people.

Sadie spent the afternoon with her mom at her studio. She is starting to play independently and for you concerned grandmothers (drinking like a fish out of her sippy cup)

Sadie visits the Art Institute

Sadie spent the afternoon downtown with her mom. They visited with Kate's co-workers at the Art Institute and played in the kids library. The higlight for Sadie was riding the packed bus!

Beach Day 2

Noelle took Sadie to a new park today that has an awesome water feature and sandbox. Sadie played with her toys and with all the other kids.

Sadie spent the afternoon at Lake Michigan in the sand and surf. She was afraid of the waves, but enjoyed playing in the water and sand.

Air Show

We went to the Khoury's on Saturday for the Air and Water Show. Sadie, William and Eloise played and watched the planes in the air from their penthouse overlooking the lake.

Day in the Life w/Sadie

Sadie is having a fun summer and Kate thought to capture the daily things that she loves:

1) Running on the lake with Mom and Dad,

2) Visiting the zoo to see the piglets (they were born on Ed's B-day- 7/25---no joke!), 3) Visiting Mom's studio and 4) Swinging and playing in the park.

We spent Saturday afternoon at the Saddle Club and Sadie loved the kid's pool. Jim, Mary and Meg Young were our generous hosts and everyone enjoyed the sun and conversation.

Sadie played at the Saddle with Maya, Zoe and Meg. She is now officially too heavy to be carried around!

Sadie had a blast at brunch on Sunday. She was the life of the party.

Sadie's new look was showcased on dad's shoulders while walking down the sidewalk. Several mothers stopped Kate to ask where her daughter got the cute bob (just kidding).

Sadie got her golden locks trimmed today. She was an angel and was out of the chair in 10 minutes. Note the Blackberry entertaining her in pic #2! Kate teared up in seeing her little girl growing up (and getting introduced to getting her hair done).

Ravinia

Sadie went to her first concert on Saturday night. The Patels and their son Rohan were much more exciting to Sadie and us than the Gypsy Kings. Everyone enjoyed the night under the stars and on the blanket.

Jenn visits from DC

Our family friend Jenn from DC had lunch with Sadie yesterday in Chicago. Sadie was on her best behavior and we had a lovely lunch on an outdoor patio at O'Brians.
