Sadie is learning by watching Kate and I with Eli. She is really gentle and caring---it is very sweet!

Our first week

Kate and I enjoyed our first week at home with the kids. We got lots of support after our parents left and are settling into our new routine.

Sadie had a ton of fun on Sunday night at the Khoury's. They got into William and Eloise's stash of glitter and created quite a sparkley mess.

Not to be outdone on the day of Eli's baptism Sadie and the girls had a table to themselves at the brunch. Sadie has been gentle and loving with Eli and is doing really great.

Sadie and Eli have had a great time with Grandpa and Ama. Eli has taken a 2 hour nap each day on the porch on their chest.

Dave and Faye made the trip from Seattle to meet Eli. Eli warmed up to Uncle Dave right away (see earlier peeing incident) and the weekend was fun for everyone including a Cubs win and walks to the park.

Eli Baptism

We had a beautiful morning with family to celebrate Eli's baptism. He was an angel as he didn't cry the whole service. Afterwards, we hosted brunch with the Young's and Umlaufs.

Ama and Grandpa arrived on Saturday to meet their new grandson. Eli has been in great hands and we have appreciated all their help.

Aunt Faye and Uncle Dave arrived today with new outfits in tow for their nephew. Eli thanked Uncle Dave by peeing on his lap---not taking any of Dave's teasing!

Eli is settling into a routine and we have enjoyed introducing him to family and friends. Sadie has been very loving and interested with him.

Eli is at home with a clean bill of health. He has the Ewell genes in him as he just measured at 90% height at his 1st peds appointment.
