Eli in the NICU

We are still in the hospital with Eli. He had several oxygen incidents and was admitted to the NICU on Thursday. He is trending well after a battery of blood tests and several spinal taps. The doctors believe he has a virus (we may never know which one). He hasn't had a drop in oxygen levels for 72 hours and the doctors require monitoring for another 48 hours. We are hopeful for a healthy return home this weekend.

We are proud to introduce our son Eli Lewis. He has both Lewis and Ewell features and is the apple of our eye. Kate, Sadie and I look forward to introducing him to you.

Kate was teriffic during labor and pushed intensively for 15 minutes before Eli was here. Mom and baby are healthy and happy.

Sadie met her baby brother Eli last night. She can already say his name and was very gentle with him.

Eli Hogan Lewis

Eli arrived at 5:43pm on Tuesday, July 21st. He weighed 8lbs and was 21 inches long.

Gran and Pop meet Eli

Kate's parents are visiting to help with Sadie and welcome grandchild #6. Eli is in good hands and Sadie is having fun with her Gran and Pop (not to mention their dog Mr Wiggles!)

We had brunch with friends today and Sadie enjoyed eating some of Kate's pancakes. Kate is scheduled to be induced on Tuesday unless it happens sooner.

Sadie has become a climber in the park. She loves to swing on the monkey bars and make her dad's heart race and smile beam at the same time.

Cornfed!

Sadie's new favorite food is corn on the cob. Not sure about dipping the ends in catsup, but she is cornfed like her Dad!

Sadie at Dad's B-day

Sadie helped her Mom throw her Dad's 40th B-day party on Saturday. We had glorious weather and great company. Kids were invited so Sadie played with 15 other little ones in the studio (with the help of two sitters!)

Lilly, Eloise, Nora and Claire spent the morning playing with Sadie to celebrate her birthday. They played on the swing, colored and worked with Play Dough.
